Residential solar subsidy

Use the official application route
PM Surya Ghar is a residential rooftop solar programme. Start with the national portal and select the electricity distribution company shown on your bill. For APEPDCL consumers, check the utility's solar document directory alongside the portal instructions.
Application stages
Register and apply
Use the consumer details from your electricity bill. Check eligibility, required documents and the instructions currently shown by the portal and utility.
Confirm permissions and choose a vendor
Follow the applicable feasibility/approval process before proceeding. Verify the vendor's registration through the official route, and agree the equipment and installation scope in writing.
Install, inspect and commission
Complete the required equipment records, metering application, inspection and commissioning steps. Customer and vendor responsibilities should be clear in the quotation.
Complete the subsidy submission
Provide the bank and commissioning details required by the official portal. Track the application there. An installation or quotation does not guarantee approval or payment.
This is an overview. The portal and applicable utility instructions determine the actual sequence and requirements for your application.
Keep subsidy separate from the quote
Compare the full installed cost and its exclusions before considering any potential assistance. Eligibility, equipment requirements, documentation and current scheme rules need confirmation. No subsidy amount or processing time is promised here.
A commercial property should be assessed through its own applicable process; do not assume residential assistance applies. Check the quotation comparison guide.
Agree who handles each step
Customer
Confirm account and property details, keep access to your application, and submit personal or bank information only through the official channels required.
Selected vendor
Confirm the registration, documentation, installation and commissioning responsibilities it will undertake. Ask which fees and utility interactions are included.
Before appointing an installer, verify its current portal registration and agree which application tasks it will handle.
