A battery is not a guarantee that every appliance will run during an outage. The design must define inverter power, usable storage, compatible charging sources, transfer/isolation and protected circuits.
Specify power, energy and integration separately
PV capacity in kW, inverter power in kW/kVA and battery energy in kWh describe different parts of the system. Include starting loads from motors or compressors, space and electrical access in the assessment.
For an existing installation, provide equipment models and wiring details. Retrofit compatibility and acceptance are confirmed before purchase; a generic battery package should not be assumed compatible.
Compare the written configuration
Ask for supported equipment combinations, backed-up circuits, operating limits, commissioning tests and the allocation of equipment/labour service responsibilities. Runtime depends on the agreed load profile and operating conditions.

Will rooftop solar run during a power cut?
A conventional on-grid inverter shuts down when the grid fails. Backup needs compatible equipment, storage, transfer/protection arrangements and circuits designed for that purpose.
What does five-year support cover?
Five years of free labour and technician visits. Parts, replacements and manufacturer warranties are separate; confirm the applicable scope and exclusions in your quotation.
How is battery backup duration decided?
List simultaneous essential loads, starting power and required hours. Usable battery energy, losses, settings and equipment limits determine the design. PV kW, inverter kW/kVA and battery kWh are different quantities.
When can a survey or installation happen?
Agree timing after the locality, access, scope and equipment needs are reviewed. Approvals, site readiness and utility procedures can affect the sequence.

Does residential subsidy apply to every solar project?
